his remaster is extremely good. Plays so much better than the Gamecube version, and that was already a very smooth and good experience. Far more than just a resolution bump as well. Every level has gotten a graphics overhaul, and the controls, and camera have been overhauled as well. Also included are some much-needed quality of life options, like assists that show you the best path to take, slow down time, and skip a level if you just can’t complete it. This is the absolute best version of Super Monkey Ball.
Quite the infuriating, yet satisfying game, and it’s fun to overcome a stage you thought to be impossible. we never played the original 2, only coming in with experience from banana blitz Wii, and I can see why people wanted the style of the older games to come back. It’s a hard yet rewarding kind of game, and you should pick this up if you are looking for a skill-based challenging game, that will put your coordination and temper to the test.
